Derek started the "School for Living Kabbalah" in Copenhagen in 1999.
To learn more about the Kabbalah, Derek offers three possibilities:
- Join the autumn 2005 education in Copenhagen entitled:
"Exploring the Tarot Pathways on the Tree of Life".
- Book onto our unique "pay-as-you-go", Correspondance Course, so you can receive
already now teachings linked to "Exploring the tarot Pathways on the Tree of Life".
- Order a 2-hour consultation: "Tree of Life Reading", where astrology, tarot,
and psychology come together in a wonderful synthesis to produce your life manadala.
What is the Kabbalah?
It is the mystical dimension that is the basis for the secret teachings of the Jews,
Christianity and the occult traditions of the West. It is a hymn to Creation and is
at the heart of the Western Mystery Tradition, providing a constant inspiration to
seekers after inner wisdom, whatever their religion or belief.
The Kabbalah emphasizes the relevance of our ordinary, daily lives as an expression
of our spirituality, offering us a detailed, coherant world view, both of the nature
of human existence, and the relationship between ourselves, other beings, our planet
and the universe as a whole.
It is a body of esoteric knowledge that has been passed down the generations by
schools of the soul, and includes astrology, tarot, numerology, alchemy, magic,
ritual, invocations to the angelic world, symbols and symbolism, plus a vast amount
of in-depth psychology.
Central to an understanding of how the Kabbala works is the Tree of Life diagram,
which links the worlds of body, personality, soul and spirit.
This is a guide-book to Life and a complete map of consciousness, and represents All
At the bottom of the Tree (Sphere 10 - Malkuth-The Kingdom) we have the physical
world of the body & senses, which is where we start our Kabbalistic explorations. At
the very top (Sphere 1: Kether-The Crown), we have represented the most central, or
deepest aspect of our Spiritual Being, connecting us to the Heavenly planes of
consciousness and the Infinite worlds.
The spheres between top and bottom, and the complex array of paths that connect
them, represent all the other aspects of our being.
The Kabbalah is like a most wonderful Wisdom Book of Correspondances, linking
everything in our universe to a particular sphere or pathway.
For example, Kabbalah helps us to understand symbols, whether experienced in myths,
fantasies, dreams or through a symbol system like astrology or tarot.
Your "god" and mine might not have the same name, but once we understand the
correspondance and essential identity between the two, we are on a path towards
Or, using the Kabbalah, we can come to a greater understanding of our body energies
and the relationship within us between the physical, emotional and mental energies.
Whether we are working as a healer, body-worker, a therapist, or counsellor, we will
find the Kabbalistic map most useful.
The ultimate goal of the Kabbalah is the full, living realization of this harmonious
inter-connection between All things. This makes the Kabbalah of great relevance,
perhaps more now than any other time in our planetary history.
Derek's particular focus is working with the Tarot card placing upon the Tree of
Life. All 78 cards can be placed upon the Tree. This unfolds a self-discovery
journey through experiential exercises, that is called Path working, linking the
different parts of our personality to the vibrations of the soul.
